I worked on two commissioned pieces for a family in Ontario over the last year, on and off. Now they are finished and will be shipped off to their new home. I’m very pleased with how they turned out and hope the clients will be happy as well. Their reaction to the photos I sent them was enthusiastic, so all is good!
The family has a strong connection to the loon bird, so they wanted something with that bird on it, but gave me no other parameters which was great. This is what I did:
Both pieces feature commercial and hand dyed cotton. The birds are painted and appliqued, the stitching is done by machine. It was a lot of fun and a good challenge to work on those pieces.
